H2R CPA announced that Nathan Shaffer, CPA, joined the firm as Accounting & Assurance Partner effective November 1, 2023. As Partner, Nate will be an integral member of the firm’s new generation of leadership, working together to chart an innovative course for the firm’s future as part of a comprehensive succession plan.
In his role as Partner, Nate will provide leadership for the firm’s Accounting & Assurance client service team while offering guidance and best practices for complex client engagements. He will collaborate closely with H2R CPA’s partner team to ensure the highest level of quality client service and to deliver valuable insight for the firm’s clients.

With nearly 20 years of public accounting experience, Nate started his career in 2006 at a regional CPA firm while spending the last 10 years at a National accounting firm where he most recently held the position of Assurance Director. His experience includes the full range of assurance services, including financial statement audits, reviews and compilations, as well as employee benefit plan audits. Additionally, Nate enjoys assisting clients with challenges such as implementing new accounting standards, as well as providing insight regarding cost reduction strategies and delivering a wide range of general business consulting services. His professional practice has concentrated primarily on serving closely held middle market firms in the construction, manufacturing & distribution and service industries with revenues ranging from $10 million to in excess of $500 million. Nate is a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant.
